EcoTools 6 Piece Brush Set

Many people shudder at the very thought of purchasing drugstore brushes.  The cheap, rough brush hair often roughs up skin causing an uneven application and the hairs tend to shed all over the face, neck, and chest making the user look disheveled and hairy.  When I started seeing reviews and magazine articles about EcoTools I was skeptical, but for the insanely low price decided to give them a try despite my doubts.  EcoTools 6 Piece Brush Set includes a blush brush, a concealer brush, an eye shading brush, an eyeliner brush, a lash and brow groomer, and a brush roll, all in a reusable cloth and plastic pouch.  Not only are these brushes extremely affordable, they are an earth friendly product option.  The brush handles are made from bamboo, which “has a low impact on the earth’s resources as it is a highly sustainable plant.”  The “Synthetic Taklon bristles are 100% cruelty free”, and the “sleek ferrule is made from recycled aluminum.”  The cute and travel-friendly brush roll is made from hemp and natural cotton.  Of course, we all want to do our part for the earth, but purchasing a product that is only going to end up in the trash is not helping our planet no matter how eco-friendly the product.  Luckily for the earth, these brushes are not going to end up anywhere near your trash can.

EcoTools brushes have the softest, most luxurious bristles of any of the brushes in my collection without the slightest sign of shedding.  The “blush brush” is perfect for applying color to the cheeks or could even be used as an all over powder brush.  The concealer brush is a nice sized brush that lays down concealer nicely for under eye or spot concealing; It would also be useful to lay down your shadow base or shadow color over a large area of the eye.  The eye shading brush could be used in the place of the MAC 239, although it is slightly longer and thinner, but does a great job of laying down lid color or highlighting under the brow bone.  The eyeliner brush is an angled liner brush that is perfect for gel liners or for applying wet shadows as liner on the top or bottom lash line.  The lash and brow groomer is basic plastic lash comb with the stiff brow groomer on the back.  The six slotted brush roll holds the entire set and is roughly the size of a kitchen pot holder; It is perfect for a travel and the cotton hemp fabrics will wash up nicely in the event that your dirty brushes get some color onto the roll.  I would recommend the EcoTools brush set to everyone from the makeup beginner to the complete fanatic.  These brushes are not just fabulous for the price, but fabulous altogether!  EcoTools 6 Piece Brush Set is available for $10.99 at Target, Ulta, and Walgreens.

I have been looking at this set for quite a while now. I was doing a lot of reading on them and I saw some pleasantly positive reviews. I currently have two of the retractable kabuki brush and I am in love with how soft and how dense it is. Thanks for the review! I’ll be sure to get the whole set next time I stop into a drugstore.
