If you haven’t seen fafinettex3 work her glossy magic on YouTube check her out here and, of course, subscribe!

Q: What’s your name and age?
My name is Aubrey also known as fafinettex3 on YouTube and I’m 20 years old.

Q: Do you have any nicknames?
People on YouTube call me either fafi or fafinette, my friends call me Ohblo(don’t know where that came from), and my family calls me Kaye because that’s my second name..Aubrey Kaye. Sounds gay right? I hate my name.

Q: We usually see you sitting down on camera! How tall are you?
I’m only 5′ 4″ but wishes to be 5′ 8″. Yay for high heels!

Q: Does anyone ever tell you that you look like someone famous? If so, who?
You know what? For some reason a lot of people comment on my page saying that I look and sound like Janet Jackson. I mean common! are they being serious?

Q: At what age did you become interested in cosmetics?  Did your parents have to “let you” start wearing makeup or was it your own choice?
Ever since 8th grade, my bestfriend Kristiene and I could not live without our eyeliner and lipgloss. As for my parents, they were fine with it.

Q: Who are your inspirations for beauty?
YouTube friends and gurus, of course, there’s verdge, makeupbyrenren, panacea81, pursebuzz, and enkore! They were the first gurus that I watched on YouTube.

Q: What do your friends think about your YouTube channel and product obsession?
At first, I was kind of hesitant to tell them about my channel, until one day a few of my friends saw me on the home page of youtube. They thought it was cool and supported me all the way, which is awesome!

You always look so glam in your videos.
Q: Do you ever leave the house without doing your makeup?
Are you kidding me? With all the makeup I own, I’ve got to use it all up! lol

Q: What are a few of your “obsessions” right now (Foods, designers, tv shows, songs, etc.)?
As of the moment it is – Forever21, high heels, rings, Coke Zero, Zumba, Subway’s sweet onion chicken teriyaki, water, Juicy Couture, clean eyebrows, iPhone, nail polish, Hello Kitty, Love Sex and Magic, 109 brush, Mandom facial cleanser, corals, and Philosophy.

Q: You mention classes a lot in your videos.  What are you studying in school?
I graduated last year from becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, but I am now continuing my studies to become a Registered Nurse.

Q: Are you currently working outside of school and YouTube? Do you like your job?
I work with my mom at an accounting office, typing invoices and drinking coffee all day. It’s not a bad job at all, just boring.

Q: What is your dream career?
To be somewhere in the fashion field, just imagine “Devil Wears Prada” and “Confessions of a Shopaholic” :)

Q: In what ways does your Filipino heritage make you who you are today?
I actually lived 12 years of my life in Philippines, when I came to US everything was different, new house, new school, and new friends. It took me a while to get used to things, and now that I have adjusted, I definitely did not forget about my heritage.  I made sure to clean around the house, take care of my siblings, be a good daughter, and such.

Q: You have so many fans!  How does it feel to have nearly 100,000 people care about you and your opinions?
It’s absolutely amazing! Every time I think about having over 100,000 subscribers, I pause… and scratch my head. I seriously cannot believe it.

Q: We have heard so many people say that they were inspired by you to start doing makeup videos.  What got you started doing videos on YouTube?
I came across a video on YouTube by verdge (unfortunately she doesn’t make videos anymore) and just fell in love by the way she expressed herself through make up.

Q: Do you have any future goals for your YouTube channel or a blog?
I enjoy what I do at the moment, right now I just want to have fun making videos.

Q: Do you ever have buyers remorse for spending your hard earned money on products?
Definitely! I believe all of us make up fanatics go through this “buyers remorse” stage. I just end up returning them or giving them out to family or friends.

Q: What draws you to buy a certain product or brand of makeup?
First, of all I do my research, I will not buy something that I have not heard good news about. Second, quality- its very important for me to give out an honest opinion for my subscribers. Lastly, packaging- I am a sucker for packaging and that’s the sad truth.

Q: What are some of your absolute favorite beauty products?
For over five years now, I have not lived without my Studio Fix foundation, liquid eyeliner, lipgloss, and mascara.

Q: Out of your brush collection, which ones do you find yourself reaching for the most
As of the moment I own mostly MAC brushes, because of its amazing quality. I love using the 109 for my foundation, the 129 or 187 for blush, 188 for highlight, 239 for all over lid color, 217 for crease work, 224 for blending, and 209 for lining my eyes with Blacktrack Fluidline. There is not one day I don’t use these brushes.

Q: Do you have any beauty secrets or tips that you think most other people don’t know about?
You’re going to think this is gross, well… it is gross, and I have never told anybody about this until now. Okay here it goes, when I first got the dot… (my period) I was told by my grandma that if you wipe your first blood all over your face, you will have beautiful skin.. and ladies do not ever listen to your grandmothers!! I have done it, it’s gross, it’s horrendous, and it does not work! I know that’s not really answering the question here, but just an advice for all you young ladies out there.

Q: What is your favorite beauty magazine? Do you subscribe to any?
No magazine subscriptions at the moment, I really don’t have time to read mags.

Q: Is there anything that you collect, aside from makeup?
I love anything that has to do with fashion, my closet is overflowing with clothes and I must admit I have a serious issue with clothes and accessories. Before makeup, fashion was my real passion. Passion for fashion baby!!

Q: Can you tell us some fun facts that we probably don’t know about you?
I have had self-esteem issues ever since I was little, I never smiled in a single picture I’ve taken and when I was about five or six years old, I ran away from the dentist.. yeah not a good idea. Of course, as a kid I wouldn’t have known any better…so my teeth were nasty and crooked. That’s why you never see me fully smile in my videos. Now, that I finally have my braces, I can look forward to a new smiley face, who knows? I might enjoy smiling so much I’m gonna need Botox by the age of 25?! hehe jk!

We want to play Pee Wee’s Playhouse.
Q: Will you slip a “secret word” into your next video for our readers? The secret word is “Cheesie”.
Cheesieeeeeeee :) Sure shh…

  34. jaylene Says:

Hmmm. I almost don’t beleive this interview is real. Most of the information can be found on her youtube homepage, and the rest could be made up. I would have rather liked a video or recording of an interview. I definetly do not beleive she did the period thing. If this is a hoax, then im very dissapointed someone would go so low, just to get more views on their website. If this is real, then I think more original questions would be needed the next time you do an interview.
