Q: What’s your name and age?
My name is Krishna and I am 24 year old.

Q: Do you have any nicknames?
Not really :( My friends and family call me Krish, but thats about it.  My guy has a bunch of nicknames for me, but I’m not sharing, lol.

Q: We usually see you sitting down on camera! How tall are you?
I’m not totally certain, but it’s definitely somewhere between 5′ 10″ and 5′ 11″.  And I still wear 3″ heels.  I love it!

Q: Does anyone ever tell you that you look like someone famous? If so, who?
No, not really. I have gotten some really random ones on YouTube.  I got Miley Cyrus one time.  Like, seriously?

Q: When did you become interested in cosmetics and beauty products?
I have probably been “interested” since I was a kid.  Makeup and beauty always looked fun to me.  But I had NO clue how to put on eyeshadow or blush or anything, so I just never wore it.  I just started wearing makeup about a year ago when I discovered the wonderful world of YouTube, so I’m pretty much a noob. I learn something new every day.

Q: You mentioned that you worked at a beauty retail store.  Do you love your job? Do you get to see and try the products before they “come out”?
I can’t say that I “love” my job, because that’s exactly what it is; a job.  But I can say that it is fun to play with makeup all day.  And I really like helping people find things that work for them. That’s part I love.  The part I don’t really like is the “selling” part.  I only suggest things that I like, not what the bosses tell me to sell.  So if you ever come into my store, you will know I’m not just trying to “sell” you something.  If it doesn’t work, I will tell you not to buy it!
I don’t actually get to see new products too far in advance; maybe a couple of days.  But if I do get to see it early, I can usually buy it before it goes out on the floor, so that’s pretty cool!

Q: Who are your inspirations as far as fashion and beauty?
Honestly, there are tons of people I love, but I rarely get the opportunity to dress like and of them since I basically wear black everyday to work.  But I do have to say that I love the fabulosity of people like Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham.  Yup, if I could get all glammed up and walk around like them with out looking like a complete ass, I think I would, lol!

Q: What is your “philosophy” on makeup?
For me, its pretty simple.  “Do what makes you feel comfortable.”  I know that I may wear a lot more makeup than some other people, but I’m comfortable with it and that’s all that matters.  And I also know that I can totally walk out of the house without a stitch of makeup on and not care either.  That’s my second philosophy.  “Don’t let makeup rule your life.”  It’s really not that serious ladies and gents.  Let your face breathe every once in while, lol.

Q: What are a few of your “obsessions” right now?

Anything to do with Twilight! I know its lame, but I can help it.  I LOVE that fanfic that xSparkage talked about, Wide Awake. It’s the best thing ever! I’m also pretty obsessed with that Paramore song from the Twilight movie, lol.  “Decode” I think its called.  Oh, and my biggest obsession at the moment is hairbands and bandanas.  I want to buy them all! Especially ones with bows or flowers.  I am truly thinking about making it my official addiction of the moment since I’m pretty satisfied with my makeup collection.

Q: What got you started doing videos on YouTube?
I honestly have no clue, lol! Boredom maybe?  I am super shy in person, so I don’t really know why I decided to put myself out there like that.  Really out of character for me. When I started, I didn’t even intend on doing tutorials because I had no idea what I was talking about.  I think I just did video responses and reviews in the beginning. But then people started making requests, and I just kind of gave in.  It’s been about 9 months now, and I still feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about half the time.  But people keep watching, so I keep making videos!

Q: How does it feel to have over 4,000 people care about you and your opinions?
It’s pretty crazy and awesome actually.  I never really thought about it that way; people caring about me and my opinions. I’ve always felt like they just want to see the pretty colors. I never feel like I have anything particularly interesting or informative to say. But I just need to get over that thought because I am slowly starting to realize that maybe I DO have something to offer and that people DO care about what I have to say.  When I think about all the gurus I love, it feels pretty good to realize that some people feel like that about me too, and that makes me smile.

Q: How has YouTube affected your life?

It’s only really affected the amount of time I spend on the computer, lol.  I am like glued to this thing.  I’m torn between spending time in the “real world” and my “YouTube world.”  I don’t have a billion subscribers so it’s not too much to handle yet, but I feel like I need to create a schedule to manage my time better.  You know, like designate certain times to tape and edit each week so that it doesn’t interfere with my personal life.  But other than that, not much has changed.  I don’t get recognized on the street or anything like that, lol.

Q: Do all of your family and friends know about your videos?

Some know and some don’t.  I never actually told any of my friends, but I will occasionally get the, “Hey, was that you I saw on YouTube?”  After my face goes completely blank with embarrassment, I confirm, and then I make them swear not to tell anyone, lol. I’m still a little nervous about my friends and coworkers finding out because, like I said, I’m pretty shy. But, I’m getting more and more comfortable with the fact that everyone I know will probably find out sooner or later.  Although, I think most of my family knows already since my dad found my videos.  I’m pretty sure he’s been bragging about me to everyone, lol.  Parents.

Q: What do your friends and family think about your beauty product obsession?
Truthfully, unless they have seen makeup organization/collection videos, none of them really even know that I have an obsession, lol.  I don’t think anyone has ever seen my collection in person expect for my guy and he doesn’t seem to mind, at least not yet.

Q: We know you love your subscribers! But is there anything that you get sick of being told or asked? Um, yeah. Pretty much anything that they would never say to my face. It amazes me how rude people can be when they are hiding behind a computer screen.   It also amazes me how many people think they can’t wear certain colors or do certain looks.  I completely don’t understand their logic.

Q: Do you have any future goals for your YouTube channel or blog?
That’s a good question.  I never really thought about my “future” with YouTube because I always just thought about it as a fun hobby.  I think for now, I will go with the flow, no serious plans.  And my blog is definitely not serious, lol.  It’s just a bunch of random pictures, videos, and thoughts organized in chronological order.  I think it makes a pretty good time capsule, but it’s nothing professional.

Q: Do you ever have buyers remorse for spending your hard earned money on products?
Sometimes, for about 2 seconds.  And then it’s totally gone!  Mostly, I only regret buying drugstore stuff now.  I actually need to purge my collection again, and those will be the first things to go.  Oh, and mascara! I always regret trying out new mascara because I always think they are going to be great, and they never are.  I just need to stick with my fav: L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black.

Q: What draws you to buy a certain product or brand of makeup?
At this point, I have so much stuff that I am only drawn to things that I don’t have or that are unique.  I don’t really have the urge to buy eye shadows anymore (usually) because I just own so many.  But those Lip Tars from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics seem really interesting to me because they don’t seem like any other lip product out there.  I am tempted to get them all.  But yeah, just stuff that is different and new.

Q: What are some of your absolute favorite beauty products?
1.Studio Fix Fluid is my favorite liquid foundation. It doesn’t break me out and it covers everything!
2. Urban Decay Primer Potion! Its basic, but absolutely necessary!
3. Wigs! I love wigs because I am too lazy to do my own hair most of the time, lol.  I’ve never dyed my hair before, so it’s a great way to get a new color or cut with out the possibility of damage.
4. L’Oreal HIP Cream eyeliner in Black.  Best cream eyeliner out there (yes, better than Fluidline in my opinion).

Q: Do you have any beauty secrets or tips that you think most other people don’t know about?
I think people know about this tip, but they just don’t take it to heart enough (including myself).  Water works miracles for the skin.  Drinking plenty of water (and only water, no soda or anything) will majority improve most skin conditions. For instance, I have oily skin, but I know that the reason my skin is oily is because it is actually dehydrated.  Drinking more water would help to reduce the appearance of oil on my skin way more than any mattifying cream or serum.  I really need to start taking my own advice.

Q: Is there anything that you collect, aside from makeup?
Not really, but I want to start collecting books.  My dream house will have a library full of books!  You know, with those bookcases built into the walls with the sliding ladder! OMG, one room full of books and one room full of makeup and my life would be perfect!

Q: Can you tell us some fun facts that we probably don’t know about you?

Let’s see:
1) I never work out and eat like a pig, and yet, I don’t seem to gain weight.  It’s pretty awesome. But I know it won’t last, lol.
2) I love to sing in the car.  Like seriously loud.  I actually got all my windows tinted (illegal by the way, so I don’t advise) so that I can sing as loud as I want with out other drivers staring at me, lol.  It’s fantastic!
4)I own a 2008 VW Rabbit and I belong to a VW car club.  Yes, I know, it’s lame.  But we are a big, close group of friends and I love it!
5) And lastly, I am totally in love with Edward Cullen from Twilight.  But I don’t think that is much of a secret.

Q:We want to play Pee Wee’s Playhouse. Will you slip a “secret word” into your next video for our readers? The secret word is “Stud-Muffin”.

Wow, “stud-muffin” huh?  Okay.  I’ll try to work that in somehow.  But just be warned, it’s going to look totally forced and obvious since I’m a big dork and get embarrassed easily, lol.  Wish me luck!
