Q: What’s your name and age?
Lorraine Stanick, 23

Q: Do you go by any nicknames?
Not really. Some of my friend’s call me different names, like “Lorrainey Pie,” “Lo Lo” or “Lur.”

We always see you sitting down on camera!
Q: How tall are you?
I am 5’7″ I swore that I was going to be 5’9″ or 5’10” when I was finished growing, but i guess that’s what heels are for.

currentcustom2People often leave comments on your videos saying “You look just like…”.
Q: Who have you been told you look like, and do you agree?
This list goes on and on. The two that I get most that I would agree with are the Olsen Twins and Cameron Diaz. I see the similarities. I have also gotten a young Nancy Sinatra, Fergie (WTF?) and I can’t really think of anymore at the moment.

You always look so glam in your videos.
Q: Do you ever leave the house without doing your makeup first?
All the time, but then I end up doing it in the car. Makeup is a must.

Q: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

I like my body and my jawline. Weird, right? I just love jawlines. My boyfriend has a nice jawline. I chose him strictly for breeding purposes.

Q: How old were you when you started becoming interested in fashion and beauty?
Ever since I can remember. I am obsessed with Barbie and how perfect she is, so that has a lot to do with when it began. I have, also, been a buyer for my family’s store since I was 11. So, I think that was when I really started becoming interested and aware of how different people dress and the idea of trends.

Q: At what age did your parents start letting you wear makeup?
I started wearing makeup when I was 11. My parents were really never strict on things I could and couldn’t do, when I wanted to wear makeup my mother showed me how!

Q: Who are your inspirations for fashion and beauty?
No one really in particular. Mainly Supermodels. They are like life sized Barbies. You can dress them, put them in all the beautiful makeup and make their hair look amazing. And then you see them photographed in their daily lives and they look so gorgeous, flawless and well put together without any help at all.

In one of your videos you mentioned that you have three tattoos.
Q: Are you willing to tell us what and where any of them are?
1. “Lorraine” in Barbie font on left top side of my bum. I didn’t want a “Tramp Stamp” so I got it lower so that my jeans and bikini bottom would cover it. I wanted to brand myself.
2.  I have the outline of Florida on the top/inside part of my left foot.
3.  I have an Andy Warhol inspired Daisy right above Florida on the inside of my left leg right above the ankle.

We’ve heard you ranting that makeup is art.
Q: Does it bother you when people criticize your technique or color choices?
It doesn’t bother me that they are trying to criticize me because really, who are they? What bothers me is how close-minded they are.

Q: Why do you think it bothers people so much that you are not doing it “the right way”?
Because they don’t have anything good in their lives, so, they try to be rude to me to make themselves feel better. I watch other people’s tutorials so I can see how different people do things. It makes it interesting. It helps me learn and grow.  Why would I watch a bunch of people doing the same exact technique, how boring would that be?

Q: For you, is makeup a hobby, an obsession, or something else?
It’s something that has taken over my life at the moment. I’m not sure what you’d call it!

Q: What are your five favorite makeup products?
YSL Rouge Volupte in Lingerie Pink, MAC Blush in Enough Said, Lancome Artliner in Noir, YSL Perfect Touch Foundation & MAC Studio Finish Concealer

currentcustom1Q: What are a few of your “obsessions” right now (Foods, designer, tv show, song, etc.)?
Music…. Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon, Eagles of Death Metal, Adele, Britney Spears.  I LOVE Curry right now, but only red I am scared of the others.  And the celebrity I love at the moment, Miranda Kerr.  I want to be her.  It used to be Ashlee Simpson, but I have moved on.

We drool over your haul videos every time they are posted.
Q: How often do you haul and has your haul frequency increased since starting YouTube?
I am what you call a shopoholic. I have to get something little everyday, but lately I have been buying makeup at least once a week.

Q: What is the most money you have ever spent on one haul?
Cosmetics Haul I would say $450.

Q: Do you ever have buyers remorse for spending all of your hard earned money on products?
I do, but only when I go to the drugstore and buy makeup there. Because I know that I will never use it.

Q: What draws you to buy a certain product or brand of makeup?
The packaging and the quality. I decide first, if I like the packaging and then I determine if I like the product. I do judge a book by it’s cover.

You mentioned that you collect Barbies.
Q: When did you start collecting, and how many do you have in your collection?
I started collecting when I was 9. My dad came back from a business trip and brought me home a Barbie. I was unhappy, because I didn’t play with Barbie’s anymore, but she looked so lovely in the box. That’s when I decided.

Q: What is your dream career?
I want to be an Heiress, like Paris. Really be famous for nothing, but then make more money just on image alone.

We can’t help but assume that you have an amazingly fun and eventful life.
Q: Do you have a crazy or funny story to share with us?
My friend and I got to go back to Maroon 5’s hotel.  It was right before Halloween and I was going to be a UFC Girl and I couldn’t find a white belt and it was crucial.  I asked James where he got his white belt from, “some boutique in NYC.”  And Jesse made him give me his belt, and before the end of the night I had Jessie sign the belt for me “Jesse’s belt, love James.”  Kind of a stupid story.  My friend thinks it’s funny because I showed them the Starburst Berries and Cream video on my Iphone.  I am not really all that exciting.

Your dogs make cameo appearances in your videos.
Q: How many pets do you have, and what are their names?
I have 3 dogs. 1 Astro the Makeup eating Husky. 2. Cash the fat Chiuhua 3. Farrah the Tea Cup Pomeranian

Your boyfriend also made a cameo in one of your videos, kind of.
Q: What does your boyfriend think about your YouTube channel and love of makeup?
He thinks it’s better than MySpace.

Q: Can you tell us a fun fact that we probably don’t know about you?
I don’t hug and I hate what I look like in photographs.

We want to play Pee Wee’s Playhouse.
Q: Will you slip a “secret word” into your next video for our readers? The secret word is “Fierce”!
Sure thing!
