If you haven’t seen tandcmitchell work her glossy magic on YouTube check her out here, and of course, subscribe!

Q: What’s your name and age?
My name is Taylor and I’m 20! I will be 21 in December(who wants to come down to Florida and party?)

Q: Do you have any nicknames?
Tay, Tay Tay, tleigh, and my grandma(who is Cajun) refers to me as mama. Not like mom-ma, it’s pronounced with an accent… I really don’t know how to sound it out- you’d just have to hear it, lol.

Q: We usually see you sitting down on camera! How tall are you?
Oh gosh, well I am 5’1″… and I really don’t wear heels often. I don’t mind being short but my entire family is on the taller side so I have no idea where my lack of height came from.

Q: Does anyone ever tell you that you look like someone famous? If so, who?
When I was really young, I got compared to the Olson twins. Even today when I show people my baby pictures it’s one of the first things they say. As a teenager, I got Topanga from Boy Meets World from almost everyone I met. Recently, I’ve been compared to Nadia Bjorlin from Days of Our Lives, which is a massive compliment because I find her breathtaking.

Q: When did you become interested in cosmetics and beauty products?
I dabbled with them when I was an early teen and have just recently become full fledged obsessed. I blame my obsession on the beauty community of YouTube, it is truly amazing to have that many people talking about something you love as well.

Q: Do you love your job? Can you tell us what you do?
I work Customer Service for a huge financial news corporation and I deal with people calling about the website. I do not LOVE my job, but it pays the bills and supports my shopping habits, lol. I have the most amazing manager so it makes it a little easier, it’s always difficult when your job is to make people happy and yet you have no control over 95% of what goes on.

Q: Do you love being married?  How did you and your husband meet?
I absolutely love being married! My husband is the “C” portion of tandcmitchell, and I love him to pieces. I’ve gotten a lot of criticism for getting married at such an early age(we got married 03/06/2009- so I was 20) but honestly I don’t think that age is a factor in our relationship. We met at work, and it definitely wasn’t love at first sight. He was the manager of the liquor store and I was the assistant front end manager at the grocery store, to make a long story short: he would never acknowledge I was there and always seemed really arrogant. One day, I ran to my store manager and started to enthusiastically tell him about my senior prom dress I bought for $5(still the best dress I have owned to date.) I didn’t see Chris sitting there and once I was finished he started to laugh and I was MORTIFIED. He smiled at me and said, “Wow, that sounds like some dress.” My heart still skips a beat when he walks into the room and as long as that happens I think we will be just fine. :) He is the most loving, caring best friend I could ever imagine. Okay, let me stop! I could talk about him all day.

Q: Who are your inspirations as far as fashion and beauty?
I wouldn’t say that I really have any inspirations. My style changes according to my mood and how much time I have to get ready, however I think my best makeup is when I have the least time. I love throwing on red lipstick and just going, it’s probably my most worn look…

Q: What is your philosophy on makeup?
Before YouTube all I wore were neutral looks and now I feel comfortable covering my face in 3D paint so I’d say it’s changed quite a bit in the past 5 months. I would honestly say that when it comes to makeup the sky is the limit. If you feel comfortable and confident with whatever you are creating whether it be a smokey eye or zombie makeup then go for it!

Q: What are a few of your “obsessions” right now?
Well, Diet Pepsi is a must for me and I eat a ham and tomato sandwich at least once a day. I’m also loving TV shows like Cake Boss, Tattoo Highway, and  The Secret Lives of Women. Of course YouTube and Twitter have completely taken over my life. It’s sad, but when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is check my emails and check Twitter… I’ve just proven how much of a nerd I am. Oh well.

Q: What got you started doing videos on YouTube?
I would have to say watching loulud81′s videos. It’s really sad because she has since stopped making them but she was the first guru I ever subbed to. I started right after I got back from the Bahamas and just did a sort of “welcome” video, I had no idea that people would actually watch my videos. I got 2 subs and freaked out, lol.

Q: How does it feel to have over 1,000 people care about you and your opinions?
I am still in shock,  I love every single subscriber I have and I’m so grateful. It’s a very surreal thing to have people who want to watch a video that you make in your dining room… it can be overwhelming but I still try and thank everyone who subs and also respond to comments on my most recent videos. I think it’s the little touches that people appreciate.

Q: How has YouTube affected your life?
I have gained a lot of confidence and spent a lot more money, lol. I am getting better at managing my time because I know that it is important to let YouTube remain a hobby and not a job. When I start to feel like I have to make a video and just don’t have time, I step back and remember why I’m here… it’s because I enjoy it and don’t feel obligation.

Q: Do all of your family and friends know about your videos?
I’d say yes and no. It isn’t something that I tell everyone I come across but my closer family knows about it and my co-workers do as well. I’ll be sitting at my desk and my manager will start talking about one of my videos, it’s hilarious.

Q: What do your friends and family think about your beauty product obsession?
I get told that I have “enough” shades of pink lipstick or a certain color of eyeshadow, but I don’t feel bad about my obsession. I will be the first person to tell you that I have a serious shopping addiction, but it isn’t like I am doing drugs or drinking, it’s makeup and it will be used in a positive way. :)

Q: We know you love your subscribers! But is there anything that you get sick of being told or asked?
There isn’t really anything I get sick of being asked, I’m happy to answer anything but one thing that can be a bit repetitive is when I have already named a certain product I’m wearing and gets asked again.

Q: Do you have any future goals for your YouTube channel or blog?
Just for people to watch and enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it. It’s because of my subscribers that I continue to do all of this, and I will be starting a blog soon so be on the lookout for that.

Q: Do you ever have buyers remorse for spending your hard earned money on products?
I’d say no. I am a firm believer of not keeping things if I won’t use it(what’s the point when I could spend the money on something I actually want? lol!) I don’t mind going in and saying I’d like to exchange something, it takes a lot to embarrass me.

Q: What draws you to buy a certain product or brand of makeup?
I would say the packaging and the name. However, before I buy products I always look up what some of the gurus on YouTube have said and it sways my decision.

Q: What are some of your absolute favorite beauty products?
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation and concealer are essential. I also rely on Clinique Moisture Surge since I have really dry skin.

Q: Do you have any beauty secrets or tips that you think most other people don’t know about?
I would say the glycerin and water trick is my all time favorite. You mix 1/3 glycerin and 2/3 water together in a spray bottle, shake it up and then spritz on your finger 1 time and pat on the really dry patches on your face. Less is more because if you happen to put too much on, then you’ll just end up with more dry spots. I’d say just apply to the dry patches and not to all of your face. 1 pump seems to do the trick for me. :) Then I moisturize with Clinique moisture surge.

Q: Is there anything that you collect, aside from makeup?
I wouldn’t say that I “collect” them, but I do own a lot of books. When I get bored at work, or even at home I really love to read. I also love handbags and own way too many, but I figure that since I’m not much of a shoe girl.. I can collect handbags.

Q: Can you tell us some fun facts that we probably don’t know about you?
I’ve sang in a dozen talent shows and local baseball games, it was actually singing that brought me to YouTube and then the makeup community that made me stay. One of my fondest memories took place at the Mariah Carey concert in Portland, Oregon where I touched her hand twice.

Q: We want to play Pee Wee’s Playhouse.  Will you slip a “secret word” into your next video for our readers? The secret word is “Glamourific”.
This one should be fun! Haha, I doubt many people will notice with all the crazy stuff I say :)
